As they spoke, the mouths they'd added to their photo moved to give the impression that the photos were talking. I encouraged the kids to take a picture of the cover and then use the app to add crazy eyes, mouth, and more to the picture and then record themselves speaking. I was inspired by my friend and colleague, Anne Hicks and brought in some books and magazines with big faces on the cover. The first app that we worked with was YakIt! for Kids. I visited the community center three times with iPads and we used a different app during each visit. The kids seemed to enjoy all three apps that we used, so I thought I'd share them here. This summer, I made a few visits to our local community center where I worked with a great group of kids using some apps I loaded onto iPads that I brought along. It's a long way of doing this but can work.With a little advance planning, apps can bring kids together for collaborative, creative fun. (Chrome sometimes does not show but is possible when submitting that it will submit what you typed/pasted. Then click off some where to exit the editing and you should see the text you inputted in the box now. You also can create this like nature, objects, diamonds, and technology This is a creative game. there should list something like text box value="" (probably empty because you have not enter anything their so its blank) click in between the " " marks and paste or input what you'd like in the text box. In this game toca Boca has already given you some starter worlds for you to explore andor add to. Now right click the highlighted code (sometime just double left clicking works too) to allow temporary editing of the code. Click the text box field and it'll should show you the code that created the box. Click the "elements button" (I see mine on the upper left of the developers tools console) then scroll to the input text box you want to input text to it should be highlighting elements as you go. Try F12 on keyboard for developers tools or open it from the settings menu. This is not exactly easy to some but if you got a long paragraph or link then it at least takes out typing it.
